Saturday, May 16, 2015—Lighthouse, Chelsea Piers, New York—Coppola/King Wedding
The Coppolas and the Kings gathered together for an evening of non-stop music at the celebration of the joining of their two families at Pier 61 of Chelsea Piers of the West Side Highway in New York. This lovely wedding, held in a historic location filled with old New York atmosphere, included a cocktail hour followed by a European-style wedding with hours of dancing after dinner! Our musicians played and sang non-stop, beginning with the couple’s first dance song, “You’re All I Need To Get By” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. Father and daughter then danced to “Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World,” a combination of two great favorites by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. The mother/son dance took place to “Moon River” by Andy Williams, while the rest of the guests enjoyed grooving to “Mack the Knife” by Bobby Darin. Hooray for old New York and its fantastic musical history! Around Town Entertainment was pleased to be a part of this wedding that was a quintessential New York gala. Congratulations to the happy couple!
Saturday, May 16, 2015—Woodway Beach Club, Stamford, CT—Ryan/Mengel Wedding
The beautiful Woodway Country Club was the site of the Ryan and Mengel wedding in Stamford, Connecticut. In keeping with the sophisticated and trendy style of this wedding, the event was held at the world-famous Beach Club building overlooking beautiful Long Island Sound. The After Party Band from Around Town Entertainment was chosen as the CT wedding entertainment. The guests enjoyed cocktails in an outside tent, while the reception was held in the building itself. The couple’s first dance was to “Make You Feel My Love” by Adele, while father and daughter danced to “What is Life” by George Harrison. Mother and son danced to “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys, and the couple cut their wedding cake while the band performed “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray La Montagne. Finally, the bride tossed the bouquet to the tune of “Single Ladies” by Beyonce. What a magical night under the stars for everyone! Congratulations to the new couple on their lovely
wedding.
