More “Will they?” than “Won’t they?” 1000 1498 adam Michaels

More “Will they?” than “Won’t they?”

Kate and Brian first met in the fall of 2014 during their senior year at Boston College. Kate’s roommate, Maggie, asked Kate to join a coed intramural soccer team. Kate joined in the hopes of winning an elusive intramural championship. At the first game, Kate noticed a cute boy and asked Maggie if she knew his name. Maggie told her his name was Jerry. Kate stopped playing because she had to train for a marathon, but she still went to the games in the hopes of meeting this “Jerry.”

“Jerry” turned out to be Brian and he lived with many of Kate’s guy friends. Brian heard about Kate through his friends and invited himself to Kate’s 21st birthday party. They didn’t have a chance to talk, but Brian caught Kate’s eye with his fabulous dance moves.

When Kate turned 21, she went out with friends to a local BC bar. Brian was there and he and Kate got to talking…well Kate did all the talking. Kate asked Brian many questions about school, his life, and more but Brian didn’t reciprocate. Kate left the night thinking Brian “just wasn’t that into her.” Meanwhile, Brian returned to his dorm and told his friends he had a great conversation with Kate and was excited about where things were going.

One of Brian’s roommates told Kate that Brian was interested in her, so she invited Brian to the legendary “Classy Christmas” party at her BC mod. Brian was excited to get the invite and made sure to talk to Kate at the party. After winter break, Brian mustered up the courage to ask Kate on a date for Valentine’s Day. Kate accepted! Their relationship grew while spending time with their friends and enjoying their final months at BC.

In the spring of 2020, Brian was ready to propose to Kate. After speaking to her family, Brian had devised a plan to pop the question at Boston College. He had Kate’s youngest brother Keenan, then a sophomore at BC, ask Kate to attend the next BC hockey game because his a cappella group was selected to sing the national anthem. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the game was canceled. Undaunted, Brian came up with another plan. That Friday, March 13, 2020, Kate was at her apartment with Brian when Keenan texted Kate to ask her if she could pick him up to go to dinner together. Kate and Brian hopped in the car and drove over to BC. When they got close to BC, Brian suggested that they park and walk around campus to see all the chaos from campus closing early. That’s when Kate sensed something might be up! They parked on Linden Lane and walked to Bapst library, where Keenan was “studying.” Upon getting to the front of the library, Brian got down on one knee and popped the question. Kate said yes and they celebrated with family and friends all weekend!

The happy couple welcomed their guests with drinks at Felina Restaurant to get the weekend off to a great start! After Kate and Brian said their “I Do’s” at the beautiful St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, they kicked off the party in style at The Ridgewood Country Club! Their guests were welcomed into the Lounge during cocktail hour by the Around Town Entertainment jazz trio featuring a guitarist, pianist, and bass player! Then came the big celebration!

Kate and Brian entered into the Ridgewood Country Club’s Grand Ballroom to Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” getting the party started! Then the A-List Band played the classic “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” by Frankie Vallie and the Four Seasons for Kate and Brian’s first dance! As the lead singer of the A-List Bad let the last note ring, Brain romantically dipped Kate finishing their beautiful first dance together as husband and wife. The two danced with their parents as the A-List Band played “My Girl” for Kate and her father’s dance, and played “My Wish” for Brian and his mother’s dance. All the guests enjoyed a delicious dinner in the Country Club’s Overlook room featuring a beautiful view of the golf course. Dessert was one of the best parts, of course! As Kate and Brian cut their wedding cake together, the A-List Band played “This Will Be An Everlasting Love” by Natalie Cole, which surely was the perfect song for the newlyweds. The happy couple and their family and friends all danced the night away celebrating the love of two lucky BC alumni!

Thank you, Kate and Brian, for celebrating your beautiful wedding with the A-List Band!

It all started with a handshake! 150 150 adam Michaels

It all started with a handshake!

It all started with a handshake!Emily and Joe first met in the East Ridge Middle School Cafeteria during lunch one day, when Emily’s friend couldn’t stop gushing to her about how “cute, charming and Italian” her new classmate was. Said classmate was none other than Joe. Emily’s friend kept insisting and insisting that she introduce her to Joe, so Emily had high expectations. She ever so bravely mustered up the courage to venture over to the “boys table” all the way on the other side of the cafeteria. As she went to approach 12-year-old Joe, who was surrounded by friends and busy laughing at something most likely super inappropriate, she was hesitant to interrupt the group of rambunctious boys. Nevertheless, she extended a polite hand out for a handshake while her friend gave her a formal introduction. This all sounds fine and dandy…but in Joe’s words, he had no idea what was going on. Since it was lunchtime, Joey was munching on some ever so nutritious cookies and had a mouthful the moment Emily was introduced to him. Mouth full of cookies, he barely offered a response to Emily’s greeting, and as quickly as the two girls came, they left. Clearly, the cookies left an impression on Emily, and Emily’s handshake left quite the impression on Joe. They became close friends in the years that followed, and Emily eventually gave Joe a shot during our senior year of high school. Though distance separated them in college and the years that followed, they eventually picked up where we left off when Joe joined Emily in Boston in 2016.

As a gift for completing her Master’s degree in August, Joe took Emily on a surprise trip to Nashville, Tennessee. She didn’t know where we were going until they got to our gate at Logan! The whole first day was spent exploring downtown, eating and drinking on rooftop decks, listening to live country music, and enjoying the hot weather. Little did she know, Joe was carrying a diamond ring in his pocket the entire time. That first night they took an Uber to another surprise- Joe had bought them tickets to a live show at The Grand Ole Opry, right outside the city. When they arrived, they explored the resort next door, which featured an indoor waterfall, river, bridges, and other plants in the central courtyard area.

They were walking around admiring how cool it all was when Joe spotted a couple posing for a selfie in front of the waterfall. They went over to look at it, and Joe offered to take a picture of them. Afterwards, Joe asked if they could take one of him and Emily. We posed in front of the waterfall, and after the first picture was taken, he asked the woman if she could take one more. All of the sudden, Joe was on his knee next to me, asking Emily to be his wife! Luckily, the couple was able to capture the entire sequence on Joe’s phone. Shortly after, they were seated rows away from Carrie Underwood, Old Crow Medicine Show, and other country artists performing live at the Opry. It definitely felt like a dream. They decided to keep it all a secret for a full day before telling our families and friends, but they were bursting at the seams to share the great news the next day!

Fast forward to the big day, when Emily and Joe got married in a romantic empty field. The moment was appropriately underscored by the Around Town Entertainment’s guitarist who played some classics including “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles, and “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love” by Natalie Cole to send the couple on their way to a rocking reception!

The couple harnessed their love of Nashville and country by having their cocktail hour and reception at the Gedney Farm in New Marlborough, Massachusetts! Though the venue rang with country charm, the wedding reception music had everyone dancing to all genres of music! Before Joey and Emily entered the party, their bridal party led the way by getting the party started with the Around Town Band’s rendition of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.” Joe and Emily were first introduced by the Around Town Band has husband and wife, and dancing in to “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon! Back to their country charm, the newlyweds had their first dance to the well-wishing “Love You For a Long Time” by Maggie Rogers! The two danced the night away celebrating the beginning of a new chapter of their love and life together, while their guests enjoyed the music from the Around Town Band!

Thanks, Emily and Joe for letting us ring in the new chapter in your life together with some great tunes!

All Thanks to Panera and a Bad Double Date 1500 1000 adam Michaels

All Thanks to Panera and a Bad Double Date

Sara and Brendan in high school met when Sara was a senior and Brendan was a junior, but their “high school sweetheart” love story has an unconventional twist! Their first date was at Panera Bread…but it wasn’t with each other. In fact, they were on a double date, both with different people! They graduated and went their separate ways off to college, but still kept in touch, seeing each other when they visited home for holiday breaks. That spark from that Panera bread date grew and grew from Yankee Games to Jones Beach trips. They started to get closer and closer until Brendan finally told Sara how he really felt at the famous NYPD Hockey Game, and that’s just the beginning of their love story!

When Sara and Brendan were traveling back to New York City for Thanksgiving, Brendan suddenly had an urge to walk through the iconic and scenic Central Park. Unsuspectingly, Sara went along with Brendan’s urge, excited to enjoy the autumnal scenery, even though it was one of the coldest days in the city! Freezing their toes off, they eventually hailed a pedi-cab to reach their impromptu destination: the Bethesda fountain. When they got there, they realized the fountain was out of commission for the season and had no water in it! Still, they made the best of the trip and the freezing weather, enjoying the view of the lake until Brendan surprised Sara by getting down on one knee with the most beautiful ring to ask her to marry him!

To call back to some of their favorite moments together, the couple went to the Yankee Game with some members of their bridal party as part of the many pre-wedding festivities! They even kicked off the wedding weekend by inviting their guests to Sara’s house for some welcome drinks!

Brendan and Sara clearly have great taste because they had their wedding at the beautiful! To beautifully underscore the momentous occasion, a pianist and cellist from Around Town Entertainment played the all too appropriate “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri, as Sara prepared to walk down the aisle. After tying the knot and making their dreams come true, the two danced down the aisle to the pianist and cellist’s rendition of Hootie and the Blowfish’s “I Only Wanna Be With You!” Off to the reception they went, to dance the night away and celebrate their “thousand year” commitment to one another!

They kicked off the evening with a grand entrance dancing into the reception ballroom to Kygo and Whitney Houston’s “Higher Love,” celebrating their first appearance as husband and wife! The Around Town live wedding Band played a favorite song of Sara and Brendan’s that they specifically selected for their first dance: “From the Ground Up” by Dan and Shay. Next, they shared a special moment with each of their parents with Sara and her father dancing to the sentimental and tear-jerking “Remember You Young” by Thomas Rhett and Brendan charming the guests dancing with his mother to “A Long Line of Love” by Michael Martin Murphey. To celebrate and welcome a loving life together, Sara and Brendan sliced their gorgeous wedding cake together to One Republic’s well-wishing “Good Life.” Their guests had a BLAST at the Birch Hill Estate, especially loving to take goofy photos in the photo booth, and taking photos in front of the beautiful rose wall that had a neon sign celebrating the couple’s last name!

Though the venue, the ring, the dress, the music, the flower arrangements, and the cake were all incredibly beautiful, nothing was more beautiful than the couple of the evening. Thank you Brendan and Sara for trusting us to underscore your wedding and congratulations!

Michael and Sharon’s story is a little different than the average couple. They have known each other their entire lives. Both of their parents met at a young age and have remained best friends ever since! Since the early ’90s, they have traveled, spent big holidays together, anniversaries, birthday parties, and much more. Because they grew up so close, Michael and Sharon never really thought they would end up together.

It wasn’t until they were both single, about to graduate college when they began to take their relationship to the next step. They admitted they had feelings for each other, but the timing was never right until the proposal.

For the proposal, Michael’s parents flew into New York City just to “visit.” On the day of the proposal, they were supposed to go to a wine tasting that was hosting a music event, but instead Michael drove the four of them to the magical woods with the most whimsical enchanted forest.

When they arrived, Michael dropped his parents and Sharon off at this Airbnb cabin next to the woods. When Sharon walked in, she was so shocked to see her sister, brother, and parents there to greet her!

They were playing her favorite Christina Aguilera music in the background and a photographer was there to capture the best moments! Sharon’s parents then walked her to where Luke was standing- under a beautiful Teepee tent with lights, candles, etc. in the most magical, rainy forest and the place he asked her to marry him! After that, they all celebrated in the cabin with food, drinks, and desserts. Everything was perfect!

They held their wedding at the The Hyatt Regency in CT. They had a room for the bridal party to get ready during the day, and also had a room to quickly hang out in before heading into the reception. The cocktail hour was held in the atrium, which was a beautiful location and easily had enough room for about 100 guests, where they enjoyed fancy hor devours and music from Around Town Entertainment’s jazz trio.

The reception room looked amazing- all of the flowers and centerpieces were perfectly positioned, along with the card table with personal photos. The Around Town Band performed “Just The Way You Are” by Bruno Mars as the bride and groom were introduced as husband and wife. The band played “The Way You Look Tonight” by Frank Sinatra as the newlyweds kissed and danced in the flower-filled sanctuary. Then, everyone was invited up on the floor for more upbeat music. From Lou Bega to The Beatles, the night ending with a bang!

This was another successful wedding by Around Town Entertainment. Around Town Entertainment is proud to have been chosen as the best NY wedding band, NJ wedding band, and CT wedding band in 2021.

Thank you Michael and Sharon for making this one a milestone night, a very special one, and one to be remembered by everyone that was there. We wish you both the best in your lifetime together!

Ariel and Jeffrey were high school sweethearts. They met during a school social. Jeffrey went to the all-boys school that was hosting and Ariel went to the all-girls school. It was nearing the end of the night when Jeffrey came up to Ariel and tapped her on the shoulder, asking her to a dance. They danced for a little and shared a kiss.

The next day she woke up to a Facebook friend request from Jeffrey. They stayed in touch for a while but it soon faded away. Ten years later they rekindled and have been stuck to each other ever since.

On their 9-year anniversary, Jeffrey told her that he had planned a surprise to celebrate. So they drove up into the hills to a spot that they both loved and planned a picnic! When they arrived, Ariel saw a white aisle with white roses and candles all the way leading up to a beautiful rotunda. One of their favorite songs, “A Whole New World,” started playing as she made her way up the aisle. Once they reached the rotunda, he was down on one knee popping the very important question.

The day they married was truly beautiful. Ariel and Jeffrey invited Around Town Entertainment out to perform for their wedding at The Lace Factory in Deep River, CT. The couple wanted a romantic, breezy, and fun wedding, which was what The Lace Factory exactly delivered. The circa-1875, vintage-glam event space was charming and beautiful- think rustic brick walls, vintage hardwood floors, and exposed beams and walls!

Ariel and Jeffrey wanted to bring small reminiscences of their Spanish beginnings to the wedding day, so guests were transported to the ceremony in high style aboard the Essex Steam Train. They were greeted with sangria and beautiful acoustic music by a guitarist from Around Town Entertainment as they arrived.

The bride entered the courtyard garden in an ethereal Claire Pettibone sheath. As she walked down the aisle, the guitarist played an instrumental version of “A Thousand Years.” She found her groom with tears streaming down his eyes.

The reception at The Lace Factory’s main ballroom was equally amazing. The large windows let in the best sunlight and there was enough room to fit all two hundred of their guests comfortably.  The bride and groom chose the Around Town Band from Around Town Entertainment as the dance band for the evening.

The Around Town Band started the set with an upbeat performance of “Hot in Here” by Nelly as the bride made her grand entrance. Next, the bride and groom had their first dance to “Loving You Easy” by Zac Brown Band. The father and daughter held their dance to “Just Fishin’ by Trace Adkin. Right after that, the mother and son had a special moment as they danced to Jim Brickman’s “Never Alone.” The bride and groom even had a sparkler send off at the end of the night which added to the excitement of the magical evening!

Around Town Entertainment is proud to have been chosen to perform at The Lace Factory for their very big day! Everything was just simply beautiful. Around Town Entertainment is anxious to come back!

Home Sweet Babylon 150 150 adam Michaels

Home Sweet Babylon

Home Sweet Babylon

Stanford, California is a place that honors many fun traditions, but Sara and Thomas’s favorite will always be running into each other at midnight under the first full moon of the year. Over time, the moment became one of the most perfect and romantic evenings in both of their lives. When running into Thomas, she had unknowingly met her fiancé and life partner.

Fast forward through a couple of years of unmatched fun, mutual support, and determined loyalty, the two began a combined excitement for the next chapter of their lives when they both attended a baby shower for Thomas’s sister.  The shower was a perfect display of love, delicious food, and various shades of pink, and they couldn’t have been happier for the new mother.

During the emotional excitement of the shower and hanging out with Thomas’s family, two photographers were there to capture the most important moments. At one point, Sara was prompted by the photographers to watch a video that they’d prepared. After pressing play, the orientation video turned out to be one that Thomas had compiled.

Over the previous two years and from various places all around the world, Thomas told the story of their love via video. Tears were immediate, and by the time the final clip showed, he was walking into the room with a sign that said “Will you marry me?”  Sara had no chance of pulling herself together. She could barely squeak out a “Yeah.” But it was the most perfect moment of her life, thankfully captured on film, and well worth the wait!

The lovely couple didn’t have a traditional engagement and chose to get married in Sara and Thomas’s backyard in Babylon, NY. The date was April 17, 2021 and the weather was perfect. The couple held their celebration outdoors, with 20 guests in attendance. It was just as romantic and intimate as they hoped, with Sara and Thomas paying attention to every last detail, including preparing the evening’s music with the help from Around Town Entertainment.

Guests were treated to a vintage-chic, boho-cool style “Big Day” that was carefully curated, with touches that were thrifted, repurposed, or taken from their home. A vanity filled with vases, a clock and candles directed guests to the celebration when they entered. Cocktails and laughter were flowing in the open patio against a backdrop of magnolia, birch, and maple trees. Everywhere you went, there were tall glass candles lighting the path. The A-List Band from Around Town Entertainment performed all of the bride and groom’s favorite songs as close friends and family watched in amazement.

The reception was played up to the theme, as well, with large fire pits surrounding the event tent, a topiary in the shape of a stag, and decor that incorporated wildflowers. The newlyweds chose “Higher Love” by Steve Winwood as they made their first appearance as husband and wife. “This Will Be Our Year” by The Zombies was performed after that during the couple’s special first dance.

Informal parent dances were up next.  Sara and her dad sported a customized pair of Nikes for their emotional turn on the dance floor while the A-List Band played “Here For You” by Neil Young.  The groom then danced with his mom to “Forever Young” by Rod Stewart. To cap off the sweet night, Sara and Thomas danced the night away to more of their favorite hits, feeling happier than ever. The whole day was a lovely fairy tale.

Thank you Sara and Thomas for inviting Around Town Entertainment into your home and making all your dreams come true!

I Love You 150 150 adam Michaels

I Love You

I Love You

Tom and Megan met at their “grown-up” jobs straight out of university. Tom was Megan’s boss so they developed a really great friendship from the start. They also quickly learned what an awesome team they were!

Well one day, Tom surprised Megan with booked tickets to Italy! As they started to make their itinerary for the trip, little did she know that Tom was also planning the proposal.

While they were in Venice, Italy, they decided to take a gondola ride. The lighting, weather, and ambiance was perfect. Tom had it all planned out!

As they went through the quaint, beautiful canals the guide steering the gondola kept distracting Megan with information about Venice. When they passed under the last bridge, Tom offered to take a picture of Megan on the gondola and once she stood up to walk to the other side, he asked her to stay standing up.

When Megan turned around to pose for the picture, Tom was down on one knee holding the ring in his hand! Megan’s heart had dropped. She didn’t know whether to scream, cry, or laugh! She couldn’t believe it and then she finally said “I Love You” after he placed the ring on her finger! It was truly the most romantic moment for both of them.

The pair had their wedding on April 17, 2021 at Nanina’s In the Park in Belleville, NJ. The location was absolutely beautiful.  They had an outdoor ceremony in the garden area with the brilliant views. Around Town Entertainment was chosen as the couple’s dance band.  The popular band in particular was a favorite of the bride and groom. Guests strolled into the gardens to hear a pianist from Around Town Entertainment play an emotional wedding version of Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.” Then the mood transitioned to something more current in style with Taylor Swift’s “Lover” as the bride made her way down the aisle to meet her groom. While exchanging vows underneath the intricate vine arbor, draped with flowers, the pianist performed an uplifting rendition of “Home” by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes. What a perfect song to conclude such a beautiful moment.

The main reception was held in the ballroom. The ballroom was simply magical with it’s high ceilings, long tables, tiered seating, and a large dance floor. Just outside was a meticulously landscaped garden with fountains, pond, and a bridge.

The bride and groom’s grand entrance song was “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars performed by the wedding band, The Altitude Band. The couple then held their first dance to “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur. “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw was selected for the father and daughter dance. The mother and son dance song was Robbie William’s “Angels.”

The Altitude Band played a well designed setlist, pulling from the bride and groom’s requests including a mix of songs from the decades, such as 80’s and classic pop genres. Guests never left the dance floor!  It was an exciting dance event all the way through to the last song of the night when guests screamed for more music.

This wedding at Nanina’s in the Park was a once-in-a-lifetime night to remember. We loved everything about this wedding reception! Thank you so much Tom and Megan for inviting Around Town Entertainment out to celebrate with you all!

Shangri-La

Jeffrey and Desiree saw each other for the first time at an Easter Show in Manhattan.  He was certain that he and Desiree would be the perfect match and so he asked for her number. Jeffrey held onto her number until they started dating. They went out several times until it turned into a very special bond.

On one particular day, he surprised Desiree with a trip to Holey Moley Golf in Australia for their first big trip together! After not letting her win… the rest was history. Jeffrey and Desiree spent the rest of the day at the Sydney Zoo. They both love watching animals!

In the evening they checked into the Shangri La Hotel, where they spent the night in a beautiful room on the 19th Floor, taking in the view of Sydney with cheese and wine. Dinner followed at Café Sydney, with another amazing view.

To throw her off again, he managed to get the restaurant to deliver dessert with “Happy Anniversary” written on it. After dinner, they headed to a new “Pop-Up Bar.”  As they approached the location, Desiree heard her favourite song playing- an acoustic version of the Friends TV show theme song! She proceeded up the stairs and was just blown away! The light-up letters, flowers, and candles were all so beautiful. Jeffrey asked her to marry him on the spot and it was a big “YES!”

The couple married at Celebrate Snug Harbor in Staten Island, NY. Celebrate Snug Harbor offers an enchanted 83-acre setting with unique event space, lush botanical gardens, and the finest cuisine. It is modeled after the Villa Gamberaia in Florence, Italy.

They held their ceremony at the highly acclaimed Snug Harbor’s Chinese Scholar’s Garden. It featured a collection of captivating pavilions, walkways, and courtyards along with bamboo forest path, waterfalls, and Koi-filled pond! As the newlyweds walked down the aisle to marriage, a pianist from Around Town Entertainment played melodic ballads filling the air with peace, love, and happiness. As soon as the groom kissed the bride, it felt like heaven on earth.

After that, everyone headed to The Tented Pavilion for the main reception. The Tented Pavilion is situated at the edge of the Chinese Scholar’s Garden. It consists of a pristine outdoor space with a beautiful stone dance floor and high ceilings, offering guests a feeling of grandeur and bygone opulence. As guests walked in, they were treated to an intimate performance by The Around Town Band from Around Town Entertainment.

For the reception, the wedding band started with an acoustic performance of “Party Rock” by LMFAO to introduce the bride and groom. After that, The Around Town Band transitioned into an upbeat version of Rihanna’s “We Found Love” for the newlywed’s first dance. The crowd was wild with excitement!

The Around Town Band played a mix of classic pop and old school RnB along with many other current favorite hits throughout the night. The set list for the evening appealed to everyone’s tastes and the crowd enjoyed the memorable, uplifting experience. From unique cover songs of Kelly Rowland to Zedd, guests packed the dance floor for the entire night.

There aren’t enough positive things to say about the experience at Celebrate Snug Harbor. A huge thank you to Jeffrey and Desiree for letting Around Town Entertainment bring your dreams to life!

Lightning Strikes Again

Ethan and Mathew met at a music festival called Lightning in a Bottle in Bradley, CA. Matthew was parked just 2 cars over from Ethan when their group asked if they wanted to join in and have a giant tent area for the large group between the 3 cars. The two absolutely fell in love with the experience all together!

A few years later, Ethan knew he wanted to propose to Mathew at the same festival at The Do LaB stage, where they first met. For them it was one of the few places on earth where they can just remain in the moment instead of worrying about work, bills, or anything else. It was just a magical feeling!

So Ethan turned to his friends for help with the proposal. And help they did — all the way from conception to execution with the group that they met the first time. They started to hand out flowers while Ethan got down on one knee as Mathew finally noticed. The flowers kept coming and both of them were shaking like crazy. Tears, hugs, and all their good friends came to celebrate with them as they enjoyed the rest of the weekend’s main acts.

Ethan and Mathew held their wedding at The Conservatory at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, New Jersey and we can’t say enough good things about it! The venue is so beautiful — the main building is all windows and glass, there’s even a farm building connected where there were very rustic and really nice looking string lights set up, as well as a cute suite for the bridal party, and the outside area of the venue had these little cute gardens that were great photo ops!

The ceremony was set up outside in the Zen Garden with all the landscaping, greenery, and acoustic guitar set from Around Town Entertainment. It was breathtakingly beautiful especially in the day with the sunshine. It honestly could not have been a more perfect day.

Everything about the main reception area in the Conservatory was simple, yet elegant. The main ballroom accommodated 200 of their guests including a large dance floor and photo booth. The After Party Band from Around Town Entertainment was the musical act for the evening. The outdoor terrace area was perfect for the cocktail hour, where there were backyard games and live music from a jazz trio from Around Town Entertainment.

Every aspect of the wedding reception felt seamless and everyone had a blast. The dancing never stopped, the photo-op moments in the courtyard never stopped, and guests never stopped complimenting how perfect the day was.  We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for the elegant, relaxed yet stylish vibe. The night was perfect and we will remember this forever!

Thank you so much Ethan and Mathew for inviting us out to your special day. It was better than we could have ever imagined!

The Big Moment 150 150 adam Michaels

The Big Moment

The Big Moment

It was March 20, 2021.  All guests arrived at their finest to witness the celebration of Maria and Sam.  It was their wedding night, a long-anticipated evening that finally arrived!  The bride and groom were nervous and excited as they looked on from their private and exclusive balcony where they were preparing for the big moment.

The music began and everyone knew it was time.  The ceremony was about to begin!  A pianist and classical violinist played the perfect songs to set the mood.  The first song, “When The Right One Comes Along” by Allen Chang could not have been more appropriate.  The groom and the rest of the bridal party entered as the crowd hushed.  They walked down the aisle towards the towering floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooked the Hudson and gave the perfect picturesque view of the New York City skyline.  This is one of the most extraordinary features of the Liberty House Restaurant In Jersey City and the perfect reason that so many brides and grooms select this venue for the wedding celebration.

The duo from Around Town Entertainment concluded the first song and the room fell to a silent hush as the guests rose to their feet in honor of the beautiful bride who was about to make her entrance.  The classic song, Canon In D began and the groom gazed upon his stunning bride.  They met and shared the most beautiful vows and soon were wed.  The crowd cheered Mr. and Mrs. Sharf as they exited the ceremony.  The Grateful Dead song “Ripple” was a unique and a special choice by the bride and groom for the recessional song.

The guests made their way to the cocktail reception and they enjoyed the lively music from the jazz trio also provided by the New Jersey Wedding band company Around Town Entertainment.  Soon after it was time to dance with Around Town Entertainment’s reception band, called the Around Town Band.  The reception began with music exciting entrance music for the bridal party and the bride and groom.  The bridal party marched into the room with the song “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody” by Fergie.  The bride and groom were introduced into the room with the classic hit “Signed Sealed Delivered” by Stevie Wonder.

It was now time for the intimate and official first dance.  The couple joined hands and held their embrace as the singer performed Chris Stapleton’s song, “Joy Of My Life.”  Then the father of the bride joined his daughter for the next special dance.  They danced to the song, “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw.  The groom then escorted his mom to the dance floor and they had a special dance as well to the song “Days Like This” by Van Morrison to close out the night. It ended up being the most perfect, magical day.

Thank you Maria and Sam for inviting Around Town Entertainment to be a part of your major milestones!
